Dan Marshall
is a singer/songwriter from Ontario, Canada.
In the early 1990's, he formed the dirt roots band which backed up likes of the Allman Brothers, Lynyrd Skynrd, Molly Hatchet and Blue Oyster Cult.
In 1994 the band was renamed The Dan Marshall Band and they headlined the Katie Beers Benefit concert with Rage Against the Machine. After seven years of touring and playing live gigs the band released it's self titled EP in 1998. The CD did extremely well on college radio and in Europe. The songs " Rave N Roll and Two Kinds of people" were in the top forty on several stations from 1999 through 2001. In 2001 they released a live CD, " Live at Penn State" that truly captured "The essence of their blistering southern blues/rock attack".
